The logo: Why a Sheep?

Like in telling jokes if in design if you have to explain too much to make sure people get you then you made something wrong.
So why in the hell did I choose a sheep as the main iconic element in the blog’s logo? Well, because in the first place it is an electric sheep (you can note the two little antennas in its head) and because I love technology I do often dream about electric sheep.
It is a straight forward evocation to Philip K. Dick’s 1968’s science fiction classic “Do Androids Dream About Electric Sheep?” –which movie adaptation resulted in the 1982’s cult-movie “Blade Runner” directed by Riddle Scott-.
If you are a real sci-fi literature’s and/or a cyber punk’s fan you already knew all this. But, if in the other hand, it is the first time you hear about it then, I am pleased to announce that you are now a little more geeky than the rest of the world.
So, what’s so important in that book (or film) that is now represent in the graphic image of my blog? The answer: It does talk about our relationship with technology and about the empathy that we can feel for it. In my particular case, this empathy is high.
After this little explanation and, why not, justification, I do retire to my bedroom with my wife, making sure that I set the Penfield at 382 and start dreaming about my electric sheep.
